Unusual Jeweled Vinaigrette POMANDER FOB

This is similar to the jeweled pomanders you see in the Victorian jewelry books and it is totally functional. The filigree container opens like a fabrege egg and inside is the original cotton that holds the scent. These would have been worn around the neck or on a chatelaine and would have carried smelling salts or a scent. This one has rhinestone jewels and chrysoprase cabs all the way around it. The drop also has a gilt chain fringe drop which makes this a total of 2 1/2” long. The longest thick chain is 10” and is marked on the swivel . If you want to put this to modern day use, it would easily hang from a necklace. This is in such great shape and is a real conversation piece. Inside it is marked Florenza.
