This is a unique adjustable speed wrench with a quick adjust lever that allow the user to apply pressure to the moving jaw while in use. Otherwise it is much like a standard adjustable wrench with a thumb wheel type of adjustment. This wrench is marked in raised cast lettering "UNIVERSAL WRENCH CO. DETROIT-WINDSOR pat'd 6.3.19 7.22.19 DROP FORGED STEEL 8IN" and is 7.8" long overall with a .4" thick jaw at the widest point, tapered toward the outer end. The jaws have minimal wear, moving jaw works good along with the speed lever function. We do note some same dings and dents, minimal wear, no rust, no pitting, clean. A unique patented wrench from the 1920's era!
