The coin, believed to be brass?, measures 1 1/4 inches round....has the United States Capitol Building on one side and on the other side it reads: The National Capitol Building Begun in 1793 burned by British in War of 1812 Restored for Use of Congress in 1817, Dome Erected During the Civil War.I am an antique junkie. I do a lot of traveling attending local auctions and estate sales, particulary in my home state and while I try to give as best description as possible when listing items, bear in mind I am not an expert. That what you see is how it is presented to me. I do not go out of my way to clean up the items; I leave that up to you.
