Umbrella Stand, Stick 'N Ball

Unavailable

Stick 'n ball pieces were designed of spindle work with round balls connected to one another by straight or twisted dowels.  They are often put together to form intricate decorative designs.  Because of the delicate nature of the construction, only a limited number of pieces survived through the years .   We obtained this wonderful Stick 'n Ball Oak Umbrella Stand from our Tennessee hauler in the mid-1990's.  It had many coats of paint on it, many more than, even then, we would normally have undertaken to remove.  But it was so beautiful and Sylvia really wanted it for our historic home in East Texas.  So, she brought it home and started stripping it.  Then soaking it overnight in stripper, brushing & scraping until it was finally clean & ready for the refinish process.  It came out beautiful!  And, we have enjoyed it for all these years since then.  Now, a wonderful Victorian, burl walnut piece has been located to replace it.  So, it's offered for you to enjoy for a number of years.     This piece can be easily shipped via UPS or Greyhound Bus Lines.
