The hand made lettuce fork is in great condition. It is useful for serving lettuce as well as a possible use with sauerkraut. The back is marked with the Whiting Lion , 5 I and sterling . The engraving on the back of the bowl is "1862 Oct. 14th and 1887"- The hand made twist is no longer made - as hand work on silver is not available in the silver world today .
