Turkish Chaise Lounge
Victorian Furniture. Unusual hard to find piece of Americana. This "Turkish" style Chaise Lounge is American and dates circa 1890. What is interesting about this Chaise is the frame. The only wood on the chaise is the legs and base. The arms, seat, and back of the chair are constructed of wire and springs (making the Chaise slightly flexible). This, along with the horsehair stuffing, makes this Chaise Lounge very comfortable. Beautifully hand tied and tufted this Chaise would work well in a library, bedroom or parlor. The chaise lounge has been reupholstered with soft gold color mohair with its original horsehair stuffing. This is a very comfortable Chaise Lounge. The frame is in excellent condition.
