Tugboat MODERN TOYS Tin Batt-Op - NEPTUNE - 1950's

This is a fantastic old toy to display in your collection!! It's a Battery-Operated Tin TUGBOAT, named NEPTUNE, manufactured by MODERN TOYS in the 1950's, and made in Japan. The tugboat measures approx. 15" long, 7" high and about 4 1/2" wide. The LITHOGRAPHED TIN on this is in VERY NICE condition. The boat is all metal, except for the headlight, switch, and "tire bumpers" on the sides. One of the 4 "tire bumpers" is missing, and another one is broken off, but included. A smokestack should be attached to the top deck (there are 3 slots for it fit in there) and a small tie down is missing on the lower deck. This toy should work with a little TLC - it's supposed to have 4 actions (mystery and shake action, whistle, light and chug-chug noise.) The battery compartment has some corrosion, but should clean up - there is one battery clip missing, but that should be easy to replace. All in all, I'd say it's still a very neat old toy, and it displays very nicely! Insurance is included in shipping and handling. Contact seller for international shipping rates.
