This is an antique English lace making bobbin of turned wood or treen with antique glass beads made in Bedfordshire, England 1890-1900s. The lace making bobbin for tatting or so called pillow lace making measures 4.5 inches long and has a white and brown swirl bead, 2 rounded square textured pink beads, 2 flat round clear textured beads and 2 small blue clear beads. The beads are old and the bobbin is beautifully turned with a remnant of thread still attached. Lovely!
