Transom, Eliptical, Lead, New England c.1790-1810

To a small fine quality New England over door transom. The exterior is soft pine wood. The center is comprised of tin members covered with cast lead paterae. The apex is a basket of flowers surrounded by star flowers connecting swags of filigree. This survival is high quality and most unusual do to the extensive ornament. The window has been hand cleaned, repaired and reglazed with period American glass.
