A series of 7 cartes de visite, most by S. Aug. Knoll, Bozen (now Bolzano.) This alpine region was once part of Austria, and now is part of Italy. At the period of these CDV's it was Austrian.
Two of these CDV's are colored. Some pencil notations on the back give exact locations, as the traditions in one high remote valley differed from those in another close by.
