Early Dutch bronze tobacco box commemorating October 10th 1787, the date of Amsterdam's surrender to the Prussian invasion army and the restoration of the Monarchy. The lid is engraved with the portraits of William V of Orange and his wife Wilhelmina of Prussia. The base is engraved with an Orangist verse. In good used condition with wear and imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Measurements: 6" by 2 5/8" by 1 1/4" approximately.
