Paul Ditisheim - Titus - Solvil
Solvil & Titus was founded in 1892 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Paul Ditisheim. Paul Ditisheim was most likely a genius - he began studying horology at the La Chaux-de-Fonds watchmaking school at the age of 13 and graduated with distinction. He then worked for several well-known watch companies and ultimately went to work for Vulcain - his father's company... prior to founding his own company, Paul Ditisheim Solvil, in 1892.
The company Paul Ditisheim Solvil won more Observatory prizes than almost any other company, including Rolex. Also as for Rolex, it is remarkable that these prizes were won with watches manufactured in series production. Obviously, the overall quality of his watches was of the highest level.
