Here is a faithful revival of the classic Queen Anne Chest on Chest that was obviously a custom made or bench made piece from the Marmer Brothers furniture shop in Boston. As the name "chest on chest" implies, this is a two piece unit. Original brass pulls give the perfect detail to the drawer faces. Note the "Bonnet Top" with the broken arch featuring a deep molding and topped with three twist flame finials. As an option, the divided drawers both top and bottom are truly divided into three separate drawers and the center drawers feature the classic carved shell. The weight of this piece is deceptively light, but a closer inspection of the drawers shows hand dovetails and a full 3/4" thick side and a 15/16" drawer face that give this piece quite a bit of weight. Tiger Maple provides an interesting grain pattern on this piece and No Veneers. The excellent original finish shows a shaded aged look in a dark honey tone. An attractive and spacious storage piece.
