For Sale I have a wonderful item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Item is an Inkwell and it is part of the Desk Set Pattern Known as "Adam". The Inkwell is oval shaped. The Gold Gilding on this displays very well as it shows a patina that has naturally darkened with age. There is very little loss of the original Gold Gilding. The detail is crisp and wonderful. The Inkwell also has its original Clear Inkwell Insert. There are no cracks, nicks, or chips to the insert. It is amazing that the Inkwell insert is still in its almost original condition!! The Inkwell body itself is also considered to be in excellent condition as there are no real issues to report. The Hinge still works very nicely as it opens and closes with ease. The inkwell is signed on the bottom with with impressed "Tiffany Studios New York" mark as well as the Pattern Number 1777. There is also the numbers "9439" lightly etched into the metal just underneath the Pattern Number. This was more than likely a Special Order number. Those of you whom collect this Pattern and are looking for an excellent example will surely welcome this addition to the family. I feel this to be a Woman's Inkwell as it has Feminine Qualities to it. The Pattern will also work with any Victorian Style Decor.
