This Tiffany Ivy sterling silver Berry shovel is heavy and engraved in the bowl with " J.M. Bellew New York 1873". This beautiful berry shovel was most likely a gift to him. Mr. John Chippendall Montesquieu Bellew was an author and preacher. He lived from 1823- 1874, and married Eva Maria Money- daughter of Vice-Admiral Rowland Money. There are numerous speeches he delivered published on the web if you are interested.
