Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Water Pitcher

Unavailable

This elegant Tiffany & Co. sterling silver water pitcher is done in one of Tiffany’s most popular designs, “Olympian”, a pattern first introduced in 1878. The band of decoration on the lower part of the pitcher depicts the goddess Diana, her hunting dogs, urns overflowing with bouquets, among a fruit and floral cornucopia. Simple and elegant incised lines decorate the body of the pitcher, while the handle’s bas has ornate leaf forms where it joins the “Olympian” band. The markings on this piece are “Tiffany & Co.”, “Makers”, “Sterling Silver 925/1000”, the pitcher’s capacity (5 pints) is shown, and the letter “M” which was used between 1873-1891. It’s approx. 7 ½” tall, approx. 5” in diameter at the base, and weighs 29 troy ounces.
