This is a rare Tiffany & Co. sterling silver asparagus server in a Rococo Revival design. The tray has beautiful leafy scrolls and shells leading to a flower on its corners, and it stands on leafy claw and ball feet. It’s removable drip-pan, complete with lovely pierced designs, stands on four ball feet and has two small handles. Though it was made for asparagus, this excellent piece could serve many uses and would upgrade any dinner or event. It measures approx.. 12” x 9 ½ “ x 2”, and weights approx.. 39 troy ounces. Both the tray and drip-pan are marked “Tiffany & Co.”, “Makers”, “Sterling Silver 925-1000”, pattern number “12559”, order number “369”, and the letter “T”, designating it was made during Charles L. Tiffany’s presidency at the company during 1891-1902.
