THORNED MOP STERLING DIP PEN 18/19 C

Outstanding dip pen that appears to have a handle made out of thorn. The thorn looking handle is of course made out of mother of pearl and carved beautifully. This stunning pen is signed sterling and Ladd and Miller. Great detailing down the shaft. It is also engraved with Emily (Emily Dickinson perhaps?) About 6.25" long. Oustanding condition nib is twisted a bit at the end. Circa 1800 - 1830
