Walnut Modern Gothic style Victorian pedestal. The top has a canted edge with original black finish. There are a few old ring stains in the top (see photo). The skirt and base are embellished with a repeating cutout design along with a number of decorated pottery tiles and incised carvings with the original gilt and black highlights. This is a very high style plant stand with great design and construction! Circa: 1880. Dimensions: 42″H x 14″W x 14″D. Condition: Good polished original condition with some rings in the top and minor finish imperfections. Two of the small red and white lower tiles have lines in them – see photo.
