A fine, clean, First Edition copy of "The Modern Steel House", by Neil Jackson, published by E & FN Spon of London in 1996. A superb work of scholarship, the learned text well complemented by many plans, together with a fine selection of black and white photographs. The author, an architect and architectural historian, worked for five years in Los Angeles, where he taught alongside Craig Ellwood and Raphael Soriano at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, before moving to the University of Nottingham, England, where he has worked with Jonathan Ellis- Miller and John Winter. His study of The Modern Steel House has resulted in many presentations and publications, as well as the 1995 exhibition "Steel Houses", shown at the RIBA Heinz Gallery in London.
