Description: "The Little Shepherd", attributed to Thomas Barker of Bath (1769 - 1847), oil on canvas, 28 x 21 ins., ca. 1830s. Thomas Barker was a painter of portraits, landscapes and genre scenes. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists and the British Institution. He is represented at the British Art Museum as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum.
