Texas Armadillo with History Coffee Mug

Unavailable
This great Texas Armadillo coffee mug has the red white and blue of the texas flag and a realistic armadillo on the front and a description of the armadillo on the back. It says "The nine banded Armadillo is a hardy, pioneering creature, that chose to begin ( b was dropped) migrating here about the times Texas became a state. The Armadillo possesses many remarkable and unique traits, some of which parallel the attributes that distinguish a true Texan, such as a deep respect and need for the land, the ability to change and adapt, and a fierce undying love for freedom. The name Armadillo comes from the Spanish and means "little armored one." In 1979 and again in 1981 unsuccessful efforts were launched to name the Armadillo the "state mammal of Texas." During hard times the Armadillo earned the title "poor man's pig" for its pork like taste." Oh dear, poor Armadillo! The mug is in very good condition with no damage to report and has never been used. I have lots of other Texana items in my inventory so check them out.
