Additional photos available.Large hand made and carved French Teester bed canopy,coronet or ceil de lit from France 19th century. Made of walnut with cathedral raised front pitch recessed from the extended side molding with hand carved rosettes.The darker trim work front and along the curved sides top and bottom is ebonized mahogany. The back wall board offers two very large metal hooks for affixing to the wall while there are three large eye hooks across the front for fastening to ceiling hooks. Excellent center support for the frame. Small hooks around the entire perimeter on the interior to attach the fabric in pleated ceiling cover with center medallion. Can also be used for drapes on all sides as well. In excellent condition,ready for new fabric for any size bed. Measures 50L at back,37L at front,62D front to back X 4.25H on sides,front pitch 8H.
