Tchaikovsky Nutcracker Austrian Windmill Music Box

This delightful antique music box, circa 1900s, is likely of Austrian origin and is crafted from gilt silver with white enamel and jewelled decoration. It winds by turning the windmill clockwise. It plays Waltz of the Flowers, composed in 1892 by Peter Tchaikovsky for the ballet The Nutcracker, and the windmill turns counter-clockwise as it plays for up to approximately two minutes.
