“Roman” lock with unsigned flat lockplate. Silver mounts; consisting of butt cap with
grotesque mask, trigger guard, side plate, ramrod thimbles, and vacant escutcheon. No
visible hallmarks. Octagonal to round 6 13/16" .52 cal. barrel with top flat stamped with
brass-filled maker’s mark (horse) and 4 brass-filled fleur de lis. Similar marks are found
on numerous Spanish and Italian barrels of the 18th C. Figured walnut full stock.
Original ivory-tipped ramrod with steel vent pick. Very good condition with metal cleaned
and only minor handling marks to wood. Overall length 11".
