Beautiful set of 4 plaster rods or columns from the exterior of an Italian building 19th century. Ornately carved center spindles with beading and acanthus leaves,the original aged exterior paint seen,slightly chippy adding to the wonderful design. Metal threaded rods either end would be excellent for attaching finials for use as drapery or tapestry rods hung with brackets or above or alongside doorways as an architectural element. The bottom metal threading could be set in wood or concrete with an upper finial for use as interior or exterior columns or architectural interest to a front porch. Any number of applications.
