I'm not sure what this small hammer is used for, i call it a tack or swedge hammed. It is in very good condition for it's age. Overall length is 10", the hammer head is 2-1/2" long by 5/8" thick at top and 1/4" diameter at the small end, it weighs 2.6 ounces. On the end of the handle it has a brass ferrel.
