This is a nice clean antique 3/16" wide tanged firmer chisel marked by the maker "THE JAMES SWAN CO.". It is in very good useable condition overall, no rust, very sharp, some minor staining noted, and a nice hardwood handle, solid nice antique finish, brass ferrule has a slight split in it, but tested and holding strong. It measures .19" wide x 10.25" long overall (4.65" steel only). A nice clean firmer chisel by a well known 19th century quality edge tool maker!
