A fabulous pair of antique cast iron double-arm sconces in their original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. They were featured in an antique Moe-Bridges lighting catalog as shown, and Moe-Bridges observes, “The vogue toward Bracket Lights is becoming more pronounced.” And we can see why – they’re quite a delightful design. The sconces are crowned with a stylized fleur-de-lis, with vines and flowers below. An oval torsade border surrounds the wrought iron sconce arms, which project from the center of the sconce to support double-tier foliate bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 11-3/4” tall, 9-3/4” wide, and project 5-7/8” from the wall. A matching single-arm sconce is also available, item # NSP702-RW.
