This is an authentic geisha ningyo doll that we got in Kyoto. This doll is absolutely beuatiful and collectible. The face is made of gofun, and the eyes is made of glass. This geisha represent the highest ranking geisha, some part of the decoration of her kanzashi is missing, please look at the photo, other than that excellent. THis piece is true rare to find, we travelled different place in Kyoto and we rarely find an antique geisha dolls. The kimono has fine embroidery looks like a feather or leaves, this doll will make a great addition to any of your Japanese doll collections. Measurements: 17" 1/4 H
