An amazing antique exterior lantern, dating from the early 1900s with its original glue-chip glass. Made of cast iron, the sconce features a square backplate with a rope border. A volute arm supports the four-sided lantern, with panels of frost-like glue-chip glass. A torsade pattern runs down the roof and along the edges of the lantern, finishing in a heavy acorn finial. This wall lamp is in excellent condition, and the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The lantern has been professionally rewired; it measures 14 tall, 5 1/8 wide, and projects 8 ¾ from the wall. This porch light is suitable for either interior or exterior use.
