The Quaint Furniture of Character label was introduced in 1924. Pieces were often painted in contrasting dark and light colors or with painted decals, as was the popular style of the period.
This is a ten Piece Set of Stickley Brothers "Quaint Furniture of Character" hand-painted dining room set. Stickley Brothers are known for their quality and style. This colorful adornment paint was used to embellish and create the popular style of the period, featuring red, green, blue and yellow. The set consists of a solid wood table with three 12" leaves that stowed away under the table. It has a "v" shaped triple leg design on each end of the table with a dual leg center pedestal, lending strength and stability, especially when using the leaves. .
