We are pleased to offer this beautiful sterling silver necklace with a teardrop turquoise set in a shadow box setting.

This necklace weighs approximately 20.3 grams, and it measures about 23 ½” long. The necklace features a teardrop shaped aqua colored cabochon turquoise stone with a sawtooth bezel and with minor black matrix veining and some tan shading at the bottom. The stone is in a shadowbox setting with antiquing to highlight the traditional motif of the stone.

The chain is hallmarked “925” and “Italy” while the pendant is hallmarked only “Sterling” indicating that both the pendant and the chain are sterling silver, the standard for beautiful, high quality silver jewelry, being over 90% pure silver mixed with alloys to add strength and durability. The metal will not wear down. (See below for more information.) It has a lobster claw clasp to insure against loss.

This contemporary piece has a Native American Indian hallmark that is a symbol with no initials, and we have not been able to identify the artisan who created it. The necklace is distinctive with a strong, vibrant Southwestern design, and can’t you just see this piece against the warm tones of your throat?
