Wonderful sterling silver compact evening purse.
Hexagonal shape. Slightly raised decoration on lid. Sillhoutte hung by a bow, surrounded by a rectangular border of stylized bell flowers. On the back is engraved the name "Fran." It has a black braid strap and a black tassel which hangs from the bottom.
Inside the lid is a mirror. The inside compartment is goldwashed.
Stamped on rim STERLING with James E Blake Co. maker's mark and #294 as shown in photo.
Measures
Very good overall condition. No dings, dents or repairs. Only some light scratching from wear.
Circa 1920s-30s. James E Blake company ceased business in 1936.
