We recently acquired a large collection of KEYSTONE stereoview cards. These stereoview pictures are to be used in conjunction with a stereoscope viewer. The actual black and white photographs are attached to a dark grey cardboard backing. We will be listing several of these cards over the next few weeks so be sure to continue checking our listings. These items would be a valuable addition to any collection. This stereoview card is a photo of a"Mighty Earthquake Fissure - 'Lac du Nord' Soufriere Volcano, Guadeloupe, French West Indies". In 1797 this volcano did terrible damage and in 1843 it shook the whole island and utterly ruined its towns. There is additional interesting information on the back of the card. There is some very slight discoloration on the lower edge on the reverse side. This card is in very good used condition.
