Circa 1934 State of Pennsylvania coat of arms embroidered on silk. Silk fabric is mounted on the reverse on an old Japanese newspaper. Early depictions of this blazon, such as the one painted by John Rutter in 1785 to replace the Royal arms in use before Independence, tend to have white horses and later ones black horses.
