Offering this nice clean 12" long blade combination square, with the built in steel scriber in the square head. This one is rather rare since the hardened blade is marked "NO. 22" and that number is in the Starrett catalog is a drill point gage with the option of a 12" rule like this. We are not offering the drill point gage part, but a square head instead. It is also and old blade, from the early Starrett days, as it is also marked "STARRETT ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. NO. 4 GRADUATIONS NO. 22" on one side. Most rules after around 1909 are marked THE L.S. STARRETT CO. instead, as the word THE was added to the Starrett name in that same year. The blade is clean overall, with inch graduations on both sides. There is a few specks of pitting in 3 places, minor issue since the graduation area is still readable. The square head is not marked by Starrett, but matches the catalog 100%. The head in in very clean condition, no rust, no damage, a few small dings, very little wear. Overall good++ condition, with about 85% of the original black paint intact on the head, and the scriber is included also. Still a nice looking fully functional tool!
