Stanley No 5 1/2 C Jack Plane Type 13
Offering this nice clean Stanley Bailey No 5 1/2 corrugated bottom, Jack Plane Type 13, dated (1923-1928), and has a type 12 cutter with the Sweetheart logo (dated 1919-24). The plane is in very good condition with about 85% of the original Japanning intact. The bear metal surfaces good++ condition, no cracks or chips; clean. The 2 1/4 inch wide blade is very clean, ready to work, no cracks or chips; cutter is about 90% full original length, is sharp and in good working condition, some minor pitting noted in the upper section, but clean around the cutting edge area. The rosewood handle is solid and clean; very minor wear, a few edge chips, at the top edge, no cracks, has been tested and is solid. Rosewood knob is in very good shape, solid and clean, minor dings, no chips, no cracks, very solid. Marked "BAILEY" in front of the knob, and "STANLEY SW MADE IN U.S.A." on the cutter, "STANLEY" on the good+ solid cap cover, and "U.S. PAT. APR.19.10" in front of the handle, "NO.5 1/2" behind the handle. Overall condition is good++, some minor scratches, and edge dings, very nice, clean plane for your collection and/or use!
