Stanley No. 2 Try Square

$38.00
Quantity available: 1

Offering this nice clean 7.5" long bladed try square. This is one of the earliest types that Stanley made of these nicely made squares that came in various sizes. This on has the rosewood handle with the fancy brass designed infill in the handle section, on both sides. There is also a brass inside face on the handle. The blade has a nicely polished or plated look, very nice overall. and after about 120 years it's still in great shape. The is a noted split in the rosewood about the brass inlay, it's completely locked in on the part of the handle with metal all around it, so it won't split any more. It is not marked by the maker, but matches the old catalogs, this one is the 7.5" blade model, the medium sized offered in the 1870's. Overall good+ condition. A nice vintage 19th century tool! One of the nicest I've seen in this model!
