Stanley No. 16 Type 1 Improved Mitre Square

Unavailable

Offering this nice clean improved mitre square. This is the earliest type that stanley made of these nicely made iron squares. This on has the walnut infill in the handle section, and after about 130 years it's still in great shape. The iron is not as good, but clean, some pitting noted, and one minor ding in the blade near the end. It is not marked by the maker, but matches the old catalogs, this one is the 12" blade model, the largest offered in the 1870's. Overall good+ condition. A nice vintage 19th century tool!
