This old Stanley level has a brass face plate and a steel body. It was designed to be clamped onto another tool or item or can be used as a regular flat level. The patent date on the top is June 23,1896. The top is in very good condition but the steel body that was painted black shows signs of wear. The black paint has come off on some places but it is completely free of any rust.
