Stanley 1/4 inch Everlasting Beveled Chisel No. 20

Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean Stanley No. 20 Everlasting beveled edge, firmer chisel in good+ condition overall. It is marked "STANLEY" in pressed lettering on the socket part of the chisel, and "MADE IN U.S.A. PAT. 1493176" below the Stanley name. This is considered to be about the best beveled chisel ever made by many collectors, as it has a very solid construction, including a rounded steel cap at the end that is attached inside the wood handle to the rest of the steel section of the chisel. This one is about 10.8" long, with plenty of future sharpening stock left means many hours of future service. The wood on this one is solid shape, we note some marks on the side might have dropped into some sort of a gear tooth set up while it was turning as there is some small bite marked in the socket area and on the handle, but I can say for sure the wood and the steel are all holding together just as they should be, very solid, with a good leather washer under the end cap. Overall a very nice, clean, sharp beveled flat chisel no pitting and no rust! A favorite among many users since 1911 when they were first offered by Stanley. Quality!
