Offered for sale is a mid 19th C Staffordshire stoneware juice jug. This "buff" or "sand" colored jug is relief molded with grape vines and leaves below its spout, with 4 Bacchus faces and swirl and leaf geometric designs surrounding its body. The figural handle sports a gnome-like figure holding an instrument of some kind, possibly a bagpipe or accordian. The jug has a glazed interior and a satin finish on its exterior surface.
