Spinning Spools Quilt - QLT
A beautiful Spinning Spools pattern quilt that is made entirely of old feed sack fabrics from the 1930-1940's. It is completely hand pieced and hand quilted with 12 stitches per inch in a clam shell pattern It has a cotton batting. It is in excellent condition with no stains, fading or tears. The backing is muslin chicken feed sack fabric with printing still on the sacks which faces the inside of the quilt. These were 100 lb sacks from Stewart's Grain Company of Durant Oklahoma. It has the brand name "Bestof" with a picture of chickens printed on the fabric. A very rare and unusual all feed sack fabric quilt. This is one of several quilts that was in a quilt collection from Kentucky.
