Small Bisque "Piano Baby type" Figure in a Shoe

Unavailable
This wonderful small vintage bisque "piano baby type" figure sitting in a shoe is unmarked. It appears to have been inspired by a German piano baby (I think by Heubach?) of a blond baby in a white night gown sitting in a two-tone shoe with its toes showing through a hole in the end of the shoe. That baby has one arm raised while this one has both arms in the air. My child sits in a brown and green colored shoe. His toes peek through a hole in the tip of the shoe. The arms are applied and both are raised above his head. The face and expression are so sweet. It has no maker marks but I feel certain to was made in Japan. The condition is good with no chips, cracks or damage. The paint on the shoe is uneven as it often is in these older pieces and has some small rubbed spots. The size is 4 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches long, by 1 1/2 inches at the base and 3 inches at the outstretched arms. A really wonderful little piece to add to any collection.
