Slaymaker Padlock Laminated Rare Patented No. 25
This is a nice clean rare, patented, laminated steel alloy padlock w/2 keys. It is marked "SLAYMAKER NO. 25 PAT.1837071 MADE IN U.S.A." on the front of the body, and "SLAYMAKER NO. 25" on the back of the main body. It is also marked "69" on the keys. The key opens the lock with a turn to the clockwise, this lock has a strong spring load to pop the shackle to the full opened position, also has automatic locking with key in or out, just push the shackle to the closed position. The lock and keys are both in good++ condition with no rust, some minor staining noted, not rusty. The lock measures 2.5" high x 1.6" wide and .52" thick. The shackle diamer is .25" and is made of solid steel. A nice early padlock from about 1932 when the patent was taken on this design. We note that we have seen very few of these, and even fewer with two original keys.
