SKF Ball And Roller Bearings 1946 Ad. This color February, 1946 ad states The Tom Thumb. This was the first American Locomotive. It was built in 1830 in a coachmakers shop in Baltimore by Peter Cooper, an Imaginative merchant. Picture shows the Tom Thumb Locomotive with Black Smoke rolling out of Smoke stack. Boy with dog on side of track is waving cap to crew on board Train. Magazine tear sheet picture is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches tall.
