Simon & Halbig #1079, Bisque and Compo Doll

Unavailable
This is a very pretty petite girl version of the Simon & Halbig #1079. She is 15" tall with a bisque head on a composition fully jointed body, including her wrists. She has very pretty long fingers. Her mohair auburn wig looks so nice for her pink coloring of her face. It is in an upswept style with newer flowers adorning her hair. Her bisque has no flaws that I can see anywhere. Nice even coloring. Her heavy stroked brows accentuate her sleep eyes that still have the wax on the lids. She has a dainty mouth with 4 tiny teeth showing. Her ears are pierced. The composition body has only the one chip at the left knee joint but otherwise is nice. She is wearing a pale pink/peach ruffled dress made by a cottage industry in Europe that uses the old original patterns and old fabrics and lace to make doll clothes and sell them here in the states. It fits her well and suits her as well. It is very well made and is not overdone and fussy, just very soft and sweet. Underneath is a matching slip. She also wears nice old tie shoes probably from the 1930's.
