Hard for me to know exactly what this item is.....appears to have the hallmark for the John Parson & Co, who worked at Sheffied in the late 1700's.....has the hallmark of the crossed keys on the bottom....has the top half of a lion standing with two feet with a scroll underneath it on the cover.....measures 5x3x 1 1/2, hinged lid, in GREAT conditionI am an antique junkie. I do a lot of traveling attending local auctions and estate sales, particulary in my home state and while I try to give as best description as possible when listing items, bear in mind I am not an expert. That what you see is how it is presented to me. I do not go out of my way to clean up the items; I leave that up to you.
