Silver Art Nouveau Spanish Centre-Piece Bowl We are privileged to offer a large silver footed centre bowl in the Art Nouveau style.
From the 900 mark we assume that it was made in Spain in the 1890s, probably in Palma. The 900 standard is a trifle less than sterling silver. It is one of the most impressive centre pieces that I have actually seen. Bulbous in shape it has a pieced frieze of vegetation and modified neo-classical themes. Its handles are also garland-like with flowers. Absolutely incredible in style. It probably graced a table in a baronial manor house in Spain or Continental Europe during the late 1890s. It is 40 cm long, 19 cm wide and 18 cm high at the handles.
